Yessica M.
Princeton University
Yessica M. is a poet and educator. In 2015, she graduated with a bachelors in Comparative Literature from Princeton University where she was the recipient of two fellowship prizes: the Alex Adam Award for Creative Writing and the Henry Richardson Labouisse Fellowship. Yessica also has a masters in creative writing from Cornell University,
As an instructor in higher-ed, she has guided many students in the development of academic, personal and creative essays that have encouraged them to authentically and rigorously express their thoughts, feelings and perceptions about the world. Throughout her long journey in the academy and as a creative writer, she has also successfully applied to competitive fellowship prizes that have required her to meaningfully tell her story and express her sense of purpose.
As a college essay editor, she brings her expertise as a successful fellowship applicant, the pedagogical skills she has developed as a higher-ed instructor and her creative writing insights to her one-on-one sessions with students
